Data EPUB to PDF processes
EPUB to PDF turns a selected EPUB book into a PDF. This page describes the conversion data, browser storage, welcome-page measurement and external feedback destinations used by this release.
Conversion data
The workspace reads the EPUB file you choose or drop, including its file name, book title, author, chapter text and supported images. It uses this material to display the book and prepare the PDF. Page size, margins and other conversion settings are held as workspace session state.
The session can retain the current book and the last successful result so that a failed or cancelled replacement can restore that result. Reloading or closing the workspace ends that session. A PDF you have downloaded, or opened in a separate viewer tab, has its own lifetime and is not removed by closing the workspace.
Extension storage
The active workspace uses epubToPdfRatePrompt in Chrome extension storage for the rating prompt. It records prompt-display timestamps, an optional dismissal timestamp and an optional response branch, either feedback or reviews. The prompt can appear after two distinct results have been saved in the workspace session, subject to its stored display history.
The source also defines epubToPdf.v1 as a schema-only preferences placeholder. The current workspace does not initialize that placeholder or persist its conversion settings through it. An entry left by an earlier development build may still exist.
The rating record remains until extension storage is cleared or the extension is removed. Dismissing or answering the prompt retains the record used to suppress later prompts. Removing the extension does not delete downloaded PDFs or records already held by an external service.
Welcome-page measurement
On installation, the extension opens its packaged welcome page. Each load of that page requests a 1 × 1 analytics image, a page-view counter, from the measurement service. Reloading the page can produce another request; this measures page loads rather than a verified count of unique installations.
The request carries a fixed page label that identifies this product's welcome page. The receiving service sees the network address and the HTTP headers the browser supplies, and can record the request time. Depending on browser settings and the service response, cookies for the service's domain may be sent or set. The extension source does not establish the service's retention settings, access controls or processing locations.
Browser or network controls can block requests to that host. Closing the welcome page does not reverse a request that has already completed.
Feedback, removal and reviews
The rating prompt routes one, two or three stars to the optional rating page on this site, which opens in a new browser tab, and four or five stars to this extension's Chrome Web Store reviews page once the store item has been configured. Until then, the reviews action displays an unavailable status. Choosing a star is a navigation choice; it does not itself publish a store review.
If you send optional feedback after a low rating, or from the page that opens after you remove the extension, we receive the reason you picked, any comment you typed, the extension version, and the interface language. Comments are delivered to us through Telegram so we can read them. Submissions without a comment are stored only as counts.
The Chrome Web Store has its own data handling and account settings. Review the destination page before submitting information. The extension retains the selected feedback or reviews branch in the rating record described above.
Privacy requests
Send questions about the publisher's handling of feedback records, analytics records or requests under applicable privacy law through the optional rating page or the goodbye page described above; a comment sent there reaches the publisher. For downloaded files, use the file controls on your computer. For information held by a destination service, that service's request process may also apply.
Limited Use
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
